Awareness campaigns have very popular

The Department of Public Relations and Media of  YSTH held a awareness campaign on Tuesday 30/7/2019 in partnership with the Center for Medical Education and Training of the University of Science and Technology to identify the risks and prevention of thalassemia and sickle cell anemia.

In the same context, Dr. Abdulmajid Al-Adlani, Director of the Center has expressed for the importance of awareness campaigns, as it contributes to protect generations from the risk of contracting genetic blood diseases, appreciating the efforts of the Society and its sponsors for their works, in order to prevent and reduce the spread of these diseases, Mr. Abdullah Al-Jadaei, Head of Public Relations and Media Department of the Society, gave a lecture on the role of the Center’s management in providing them with the opportunity to coordinate and follow up their efforts to make the campaign a success, also he stressed the importance of prevention of these diseases by doing early examination (pre-marriage test)

The campaign targeted the Department of Obstetrics & Midwifery, Nursing and Assistant Physician. The campaign was widely attended by the Center’s students who showed their interaction with the campaign.
Students organized a charity bazaar for the benefit of patients Thalassemia and other Hemoglobinopathies at the center.
