Our Vision is The Leadership to Fight Against Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Diseases

Al-Saida University organized, in cooperation with Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders, yesterday, Wednesday 15 Jan. 2020, an awareness seminar to introduce the dangers of Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Diseases and ways to prevent them.

Represented by the Society Dr. Mukhtar Ismail, director of Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders Center, who in turn gave an awareness lecture in which he discussed the diseases, their causes, symptoms, effects, and ways to prevent them, as pre-marriage test is the most appropriate and first way to prevent infection with these chronic diseases, and he added: “We thank the university to give this opportunity to educate our students, who will contribute to imparting knowledge to others. “

The seminar was attended by Dr. Nabil Al-Maghrabi, the university’s Board of Trustees, who stated that holding such seminars and awareness-raising events is one of the priorities of the university’s establishment, as it contributes to educating the community’s children, in addition to the presence of a number of doctors, academics, students and participants.
