In the event, he delivered a speech in which he expressed his thanks for the efforts made by the Deanship of the College, its professors, and students in adopting this awareness-raising event aimed at combating these chronic diseases. He also touched during the speech on the Society’s efforts during the past twenty years and guaranteed them the greatest burden in fighting these diseases, noting that the topic getting rid of thalassemia and sickle cell anemia requires great efforts and real adoption from the state and the cooperation of all the relevant authorities in the ministries: “health, justice, endowments, education, higher education, technical and vocational training, social affairs, youth and sports”, local and international organizations who are working in our country and businessmen and all segments of society.

He also noted the importance of doing pre-marriage tests and taking care of it, especially by young men and women, to bear the greatest burden on women in the event of children suffering from these chronic diseases. The ceremony included several expressive activities and words, which won the approval of everyone and a charitable seed.

This event was distinguished by the magnificence of preparation and arrangement, and by the great and distinguished presence, especially of the youth category, and their listening to the paragraphs of the event, with full attention and focus indicating response and serious interaction with one of our most important humanitarian and national issues.
