Today, 10.03.2020, an awareness campaign was held in Al-Fateh International Schools – males – Shamlan branch, Mr. Saleh Al-Osaimi, a member of the administrative board of the society delivered an awareness Speech, explaining the suffering of the patients and their families.
Mr. Muhammad Abdulkarim manager of the School also delivered a speech and he praised the efforts of the association, hoping from his dear students to rush to conduct pre-marriage tests to avoid infection with thalassemia and genetic blood diseases that lead to permanent and lifelong suffering ..!
During the campaign, awareness brochures were distributed that contribute to developing students’ knowledge of the seriousness of chronic diseases and the need to avoid them, as well as the main causes that lead to the spread of the disease among the community, and other necessary and more important information about these diseases.
The Society thanks the efforts of the school administration represented by its Director-General, Mr. Mohamed Al Hababi, for this opportunity which contribute to the students obtaining as much information as possible about these chronic diseases and how to avoid them, hoping the continuation of such awareness campaigns aimed at eliminating thalassemia and genetic blood diseases through Outreach as widely as possible.
