Examination … and prevention are the ways for salvation.

This Thursday, Feb. 18. 2021, Students of the Laboratory Department, Level 3 at the University of Science and Technology,  visit  Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders Center to get knowledge about thalassemia and genetic blood diseases, accompanied by Mr. Faiz Al-Basir, student activities department Officer at the university, during their visit, they learned about the center’s departments and the services which provides to patients.

Mr. Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Jadaei Head of Public Relations and Media Department, present an awareness transversely lecture on thalassemia diseases and hereditary blood diseases … their causes, methods of spread, and ways to prevent them, indicating the importance of conducting pre-marriage examination which is the only way to protect future generations from the risks of contracting these chronic diseases.

Otherwise, the head of the medical services department at the center Dr. Muhammad Abdullah reviewed the basic medicines that they use and the suffering of this grieving group, and the need to stand beside them.

In the same context, Mr. Faiz Al-Basir explained that arrangements are underway to hold two awareness campaigns and donate blood at the university for the benefit of patients.

The General Director of the Association, Mr. Jameel Ali Al-Khayati, has highly valued the constructive partnership with the University of Science and Technology – and other Yemeni universities – in continuing efforts to combat thalassemia and genetic blood diseases.

At the end of the event, the association was honored with a certificate of appreciation. For her sincere humanitarian efforts made towards the sick.
