Sana’a University awards the researcher/ Ammar Muhammad Rashid a master’s degree with distinction today, Tuesday, 3 Jumada al-Akhira 1444 AH / corresponding to December 27, 2022 AD, for his thesis tagged (serological prevalence of hepatitis C virus among patients with frequent blood transfusions, beta-thalassemia, who attend the Yemeni Association for Patients with Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Sana’a – Yemen Where the study concluded that there were 6.5% infected with hepatitis C virus out of the 200 cases that were studied during the period February 2019 – February 2020, and this is due to several reasons, the most important of which are: random blood transfusion outside specialized health centers

The study also came out with several recommendations, the most important of which is conducting periodic examinations to ensure safety from hepatitis viruses, especially hepatitis C virus.
At the end of the discussion, the arbitration committee extended its thanks and appreciation to the researcher and the association for its cooperation with him, calling for conducting more research and studies on these diseases.
