Prevention efforts and voluntary blood donation campaigns are continuing

 In continuation of its strenuous efforts to spread awareness of the dangers of Thalassemia and hereditary blood fractures and ways to prevent them, The Yemeni Society for Thalessemia and Hereditary blood patients (YSTH) held nine awareness campaigns inside and outside the association during the period from  November 8 to December 30, 2023.

These campaigns were held  in coordination with a number of educational and academic institutions (21 September Universityof Medical and Applied Sciences, Al-Saeeda University, University of Science and Technology, Future University, Al-Ghad College, Al-Rasheed Schools,  Atyaf model schools, Al-Alamiya Schools, in addition to Al-Amal Microfinance Bank).

The campaign  included awareness lectures, media presentations, discussions, consultations and distribution of awareness materials, and students field  visits to the therapeutic center to learn about the services provided to patients, and touch their suffering; As a result of the shortage of medicines, medical solutions, medical supplies and blood, in light of their continuous needs for them to live .

In addition to that, many voluntary blood donation campaigns were held for the benefit of patients dependent on this vital substance.
