Sickle cell patients celebrate their international day with the brightest stars of art and drama
The Yemeni Association of Thalassemia and Genetically Dyslexic Patients held on Wednesday evening, 19 th of Ramadan, a speech and technical celebration on the occasion of the 19 th International Sickle Cell Anemia Day in the Elite Hall in Al Khatib Restaurants in Sana’a.

In the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mr. Majaat Al-Sayyid, Director General of the Office of the Affairs of the Secretariat, Mr. Majeeb Al-Fattash and the participation of a number of media professionals and representatives, the Executive Director, Mr. Jamil Al-Khayati, praised the role of the Ministry of Social Affairs Thalassemia patients and genetic blood.

During his speech, the Executive Director praised the efforts of His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and the Director General of its Office in the Municipality of the capital in the continuous cooperation with the Association.

Al Khayati thanked Yemen Mobile Mobile Company, the main sponsor of the event, for their continuous support for the activities and activities of the Humanitarian and Awareness Society.

The aim of such an event is to integrate patients with sickle cell anemia and genetic blood fractures into the most important social groups, said the Executive Director.

“The month of Ramadan is an opportunity to get closer to this grieving group and provide psychological and material support to them and to tell them that they are not alone in facing the harshness of life.

For her part, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor called on people with anemia and other genetic blood fractures to be more patient and willing and not to succumb to illness and despair.

The minister explained that there are many successful models in the community suffering from such chronic diseases, stressing the continued support for these patients.

At the end of the event, the President of the Society, Dr. Ahmed Shamsan, honored the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and a number of participating parties and sponsors of the event, Yemen Mobile and Al Khatib Restaurants.
The event included several technical paragraphs, awareness and medical guidance provided by the doctor of the Thalassemia center Dr. Abdullah Al-Tayyar for the participants of the event.

It also included a breakfast (recovery table) that gathered patients with a group of the brightest stars of information, art and drama at one table for the purpose of psychological support for them.
