Health and environmental awareness supervisors organized awareness programs on the risks and prevention of thalassemia in four educational districts in the capital Sana’a

The awareness programs held in four schools in Al-Sabeen Al-Thani (Al-Sabeeen School, Zaid bin Haritha, Juwairiya bint Al-Harith, Al-Naba’a), Al Salam School in Mo’in, Saba School in Al-Thawra and Al-Shaima in Old Sana’a included distribution of pamphlets and lectures.

Awareness programs also included the allocation of leadership and health to identify the importance of medical examination and counseling before marriage in the prevention of these chronic genetic diseases.

The organization of these awareness programs is the first of the training workshop organized by the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood for seventy educational and educational activities in six educational areas: Moin, Al-Thawra, the First Seventies, the 70th and the Old Sana’a.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Association organized a workshop for health and environmental education supervisors in schools and heads of departments in the educational districts on the risks of thalassemia on the future of childhood.

It is noteworthy that the association aimed at activating the role of teachers and educators in the rehabilitation of a generation aware of the dangers of chronic genetic diseases, especially genetic blood diseases
