Thalassemia and hereditary blood diseases .. Awareness is part of the solution

On the sidelines of the awareness campaign (Awareness Campaign) that was held at the University of Science and Technology, Female Section, a number of female students of the Laboratory Department of the College of Medical Sciences at the university on Wednesday 27 February 2019 visited the headquarters of the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Patients in which they were briefed on the activities of the Thalassemia and Genetic Patients Care Center, its facilities and services. It was provided to the children of thalassemia and the most important medicines that are given to patients were identified and their importance for them, and the center’s laboratory was also introduced and what are the tests that are provided to patients

Praising the great role that the association plays towards these patients, and affirming that they stand by the association in order to raise awareness of the importance of conducting pre-marital examinations to get rid of these chronic diseases, which are a threat that threatens the majority of society’s members and burdens the state.
