Aljazeera College initiates community awareness!
Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders participated in the second scientific conference on Tuesday 3rd of September 2019 to discuss graduation research and the medical-technical exhibition held by Al-Jazeera College of Medical and Technical Sciences.
During the conference, which was attended by the Director of Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders Center Dr. Mokhtar Ismail, and the head of the public relations & media section of the society, Mr. Abdullah Al-Jadaei. Dr. Mokhtar Ismail has addressed the presentation of the definition of diseases of Thalassemia and genetic blood Disorders and the reasons for their spread and how to prevent them, especially by conducting early medical examination – before marriage, thanking the efforts of the college for the follow-up and interest in this humanitarian issue.
Otherwise, dean of Al-jazeera College Dr. Hashim Hammoud Al-Maghrabi expressed his thanks and gratitude to the organizers of this conference, which aims to raise awareness of the seriousness of these diseases through technical and creative activities organized by a number of students, calling on the attendees to make efforts for the necessary awareness and to communicate the issue of patients with genetic blood disorders to all society segments.
In conclusion, Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders was honored for its unremitting efforts towards patients and fighting these chronic diseases with all available resources.
