A judicial media team visits YSTH
Continuing the Ministry of Justice’s efforts to strengthen the role of the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Patients, a team of judicial media has visited today the Society’s headquarters and treatment center.
During the visit, the General Director of YSTH, Jamil Al-Khayati, met the team that included the Director General of Relations and Judicial Awareness at the Ministry of Justice, Ismail Al-Mushki, the media advisor of the Supreme Judicial Council, Hassan Al-Wraith, and the editor-in-chief of the Judiciary Newspaper, Fadel Al-Hijri. During the meeting, they learned about the activities and role of the association and its treatment center in facing genetic blood diseases.
the Director General of the Society praised, During the meeting, the role of the Ministry of Justice and its tireless efforts in strengthening the role of the Society. He expressed his thanks to the ministry’s leadership, represented by the Minister of Justice, Judge Nabil Nasser Al-Azani, and the documentation sector.
Furthermore, the mechanism of cooperation between the YSTH and the Ministry of Justice was discussed, as well as the importance of media and awareness in the problems of people with these diseases and their causes, and the risks of society disregarding the necessity of conducting a medical examination before marriage to prevent these fatal diseases.
A summary of the meetings between the YSTH’s leadership and the Director General of Documentation was reviewed at the meeting.
The meeting also touched on the need to strengthen the partnership between the YSTH and the parties concerned with spreading awareness among the community, to reduce the spread of thalassemia diseases and chronic hereditary blood disorders and the importance of the role of medical and legal awareness in strengthening the role of the association to reduce the high percentage of people with these diseases.
