Examination and awareness … the way for prevention and salvation …!
On Saturday 30th Jan. 2020. Students of the Medical Laboratories Department of Al-Ghad International College for Health and Technical Sciences, visited Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders Center, with Dr. Amani Al-Rimi, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Ali Mojali teacher of hematology at college.
They were received by the General Director of the Association Mr. Jameel Ali Al-Khayati the General Director, Dr. Mukhtar Ismail the director of the Center, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Jadaei head of the Department of Relations and Media, who in turn gave an awareness lecture, in which he introduced to thalassemia diseases and genetic blood breakdowns, their causes, methods of spread, ways to prevent them, and the roles society should have towards these chronic diseases.
On the other hand, the General Director of the Association offered the highest expressions of thanks and appreciation to the Deanship of the College. On their interest and eagerness to adopt such humanitarian issues, appreciating the students’ attendance and their benefit, and their contribution to the educational roles that they will play towards members of society, calling for the need to conduct an early medical examination – examination before marriage – before starting the courtship or marriage procedures.
However, Dr. Mukhtar Ismail reviewed the services provided by the center to patients, calling for providing the necessary care for the patients, and cooperating with them in providing basic and supportive medicines that relieve them of a lot of pain …!
