On Sunday 28th March. 2021, Kuwait High Model School, in coordination and cooperation with the Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders held an awareness campaign; To define the dangers of hereditary blood diseases and ways to prevent them, as a continuation of the awareness program implemented by the association.
During the campaign, a member of the administrative body of the association Mr. Saleh Al-Osaimi presented an educational speech in which he reviewed the suffering of patients and their families, pointing to unpleasant situations. Due to the neglect of pre-marital examination, and stressing the need to establish a culture of examination among the various segments of society; So that society would be free of newly infected births.
On the other hand, the director of Kuwait High School Mr. Ahmed Al-Hababi ” The lack of community awareness of the danger of these chronic diseases is the major issue, otherwise, new injuries would not have occurred, which requires concerted efforts and mobilization of capabilities.
