A drop of your blood… gives them life

In coordination and cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center , Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood disorders (YSTH), held, today, Tuesday, July 5, 2022, a voluntary blood donation campaign  for the benefit of thalassemia patients, patients with genetic blood disorders, and other patients in need of blood transfusions, under the slogan “A drop of your blood.. It gives them life.”

This campaign, which was well interactive by donors, in response to the association’s calls, comes as a continuation of the efforts made by the YSTH to secure quantities of blood to cover the ongoing needs.

Jamil Ali Al-Khayati, Director General of YSTH, expressed YSTH’s thanks to the National  Blood Transfusion and research Center  for its pivotal role in providing safe blood for patients with hereditary hemolysis, in particular, for the benefit of patients dependent on blood transfusion in general, thanking all donors and workers to alleviate the suffering of patients and their families.
