Awareness of hundreds of model families about their pioneering role in protecting children from genetic hemolysis

In order to preserve the safety of future generations and protect children from new infections,Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood disorders, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Public Health and Population, and in coordination and cooperation with the Health and Population Office in Sana’a and the World Health Organization, concluded a program of awareness sessions for 1,500 families of thalassemia and genetic blood disorders patients.

The sessions included awareness lectures, presentations of purposeful flashes, participation from the attendees, reviewing and signing a declaration and a moral and human commitment towards to an appropriate solution of procreation, and  to ensure the reduction of new infections. As well as, it included  the obligation to conduct early examinations and pre-marital medical counseling for all children, educate relatives and friends, and contribute to efforts to protect society from these chronic genetic diseases.
