The coming generations’ future depends on our awareness today
Today , Monday 22 Rajab 1444 AH /February 13, 2023 AD , the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Patients received students of the fourth level of the Laboratory Department at the University of Yemen, on an awareness visit.
During the visit , the departments of the treatment center and the services it provides to the patients were identified.
The center’s director,Dr. Mukhtar Ismail, and Mr. Ali Abdel Wali ,the member of the administrative board gave two awareness lectures to introduce the dangers of thalassemia and hereditary blood disorders, ways to prevent them, and the importance of voluntary blood donation.
The lectures were stressing on the importance of early examination and premarital medical consultation to cure from these chronic diseases.
It is worth noting that next Monday, voluntary blood donation campaign will be held at the University of Yemen on west sixtieth street.
