Fighting thalassemia and hereditary blood breakdowns is a religious and patriotic duty ..!

Last Thursday, October 3, 2019, the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Crusts participated in the awareness event held by the Dar Al-Salam Institute for Health Sciences to introduce the dangers of thalassemia and genetic blood breakdowns and ways to prevent them.

During the event, which included a number of technical and awareness sessions, Prof. Abdul-Ghani Al-Jalah, the media official of the association, in a speech in which he expressed his deep thanks to the organizers of this event, wishing them more actions that contribute to educating society about these chronic diseases, and added, “The association seeks with the modest possibilities available to it to reach various segments of society – especially the youth. – To raise awareness of the dangers of these chronic diseases.

For his part, the child / Anas Nasser gave the patients’ speech, reviewing the pain they are subjected to as a result of their suffering with the disease, calling on the businessmen to stand and cooperate with this grieving group.

The association also participated today, Wednesday, October 9, 2019 in the charitable awareness-raising event to introduce the dangers of thalassemia and genetic blood disorders and ways to prevent them, which was set up by the Canadian Center for Training and Capacity Development.

During the event, Prof. Abdullah Al-Jadei, head of the media and relations department at the association, an awareness lecture, during which he stressed the importance of conducting an early medical examination (pre-marriage) as it is the most appropriate and only solution to prevent these diseases.

On a related level, Prof. Najat Al-Wajra, Deputy Director of the Center, expressed the need for everyone to join forces and stand as one hand in addressing these diseases. Because of the safety of future generations from the dangers of this disease that eats into the body of society without the slightest mercy …!

The child / Ahmed Al-Absi delivered the patients’ speech during which he explained his suffering with the disease and likewise all those afflicted with this chronic disease, calling on everyone to pay attention to their suffering and pain, and to stand with them with material and moral support, thanking the efforts of the Institute’s administration and those in charge of this event
