The University of September 21 for Medical and Applied Sciences and Emirates International University in coordination and cooperation with Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders held on Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd of December 2019 awareness programs to introduce Thalassemia and genetic blood diseases and ways to avoid them.

During the program, Dr. Mukhtar Ismaeel, director of Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Center, addressed a speech and reviewed the association’s march in the fight against chronic genetic diseases, despite the scarcity of the necessary capabilities and the difficulty of obtaining them, and touched on the importance of paying attention to the children of this battered segment.

The president of the association, Dr. Ahmed Shamsan Al-Muqrami with an awareness lecture at the scientific symposium at the University of September 21 on these chronic diseases that affect patients and their families, hoping everyone to contribute to spreading awareness and education about the necessity of carrying out early medical examination before marriage; being the most appropriate and appropriate way to prevent future generations from the risk of contracting this deadly disease.

For his part, Vice President of international Emaraties University, Dr. Hassan Abdul-Mughni, warned of the necessity of holding more awareness activities in the University.
